Tesco to lock hundreds of everyday products at low prices until 2023

Posted on: 17 Oct 2022

Tesco Ireland is announcing a new price-lock commitment, freezing the prices on hundreds of everyday products until 2023, and giving shoppers more ways to spend less and enjoy the fast-approaching festive season.

The products are all included within the Low Everyday Prices campaign, which covers a wide range of products and brands bought week-in, week-out – from grocery staples and fridge favourites to household and health & beauty products.

To help customers make their money go further in the run-up to, and during, the festive season, Tesco is locking the price of hundreds of these products into the new year. So, whether it’s Denny Deli style traditional ham for those midweek lunches or Kellogg's Cereal plain wheats to set you up for the day, our customers can count on Tesco’s price to stay the same until 2023 – helping them to spend less on their shopping week in week out.

Low Everyday Prices is a key part of Tesco’s commitment to giving customers great value on their shopping – going hand-in-hand with Aldi Price Match, great value own-brand staples with our Exclusively at Tesco brands and exclusive deals through Clubcard Prices. While the Tesco Toy Sale*, running in stores until October 30th, offers savings of up to 50% on children’s toys, so the whole family can spread the cost of Christmas.

Cathal Deavy, Customer Director, Tesco Ireland said: “As we head into the winter months, we know that households are taking an even closer look at their budgets. Our price lock across hundreds of products until 2023 should reassure customers that these products will stay at the same price – helping them manage their budgets when they need it most.

This will also help in the lead up to Christmas, customers have certainty of price on products to spread the cost of the season, with no need to hold off in anticipation of further price changes.”
