Nan’s Centra named as selling location of Sunday’s Daily Million top prize ticket worth a life-changing €1 million

Posted on: 18 Jun 2024

There were cheers and celebrations outside Nan’s Centra at the Ballymun Civic Plaza on the Shangan Road today as the Ballymun store was announced as the selling location of Sunday’s Daily Million top prize winning ticket worth €1 million.

The National Lottery has since confirmed that the Dublin winner, who scooped their prize in the 9pm draw on 16th June, has come forward and arrangements are being made for them to visit Lotto HQ to collect their life-changing prize.

Mick Murphy, who runs the store alongside Manager Chris Vavasour, was thrilled to hear the news admitting that he has had a few calls this year from National Lottery officials.

“Talk about the third time being the charm! Earlier this year, we sold two top prize amounts worth €75,000 and €15,000 on All Cash Platinum and Cashword Doubler Scratch Cards. We were absolutely thrilled for both of those wins but now we’ve gone even bigger again for our third big win of the year. This is the largest prize that we have ever sold so it’s huge news for us here in the shop but of course for the winner themselves, they are now officially a millionaire. I imagine the win made waking up on Monday morning a lot easier than normal! We wish the winner all the health and happiness with the good fortune. I’d say as soon as the news spreads, we’ll be even busier than normal as it’s great news for the community.”

Meanwhile, tonight’s EuroMillions jackpot is set to roll towards an estimated €175 million. National Lottery players dreaming of celebrating a life-changing win of their own are reminded that tickets can be purchased for tonight’s draw in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.30pm cut-off time for sales this evening.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language.
