MACE retailers, and their staff, throughout Ireland are signing up to the MACE Run to 40 for Debra initiative, which is aimed at raising funds and supporting Debra Ireland.
The Run to 40 concept marks a hugely significant milestone for Emma Fogarty, who is a Debra Patient Ambassador and Board Member and was born with epidermolysis bullosa (EB). Despite her parents being told she would not live past 1 week, this year Emma beat all odds and turned 40 years old, which sadly is very rare for someone with epidermolysis bullosa (EB).
To mark her miraculous 40th birthday, actor and Debra Ireland Ambassador Colin Farrell is taking on Run to 40 by running the Irish Life Dublin Marathon in her honour and is aiming to raise €400,000 for Debra.
Now, MACE retailers, and their staff, are helping raise vital funds by committing to joining the team with Emma Fogarty and Colin Farrell to support everyone impacted by EB in Ireland by either walking 40,000 steps or running 40km (individually or with a team) October 21st to 27th and raising funds for Debra through fundraising in store and donations from selected MACE Own Brand products.
