Demonstrating the cultural influence, five of Ireland’s seven most-watched sporting events this year featured Irish sportswomen.

This year, Sport Ireland has partnered with the Her Sport Awards presented by Lidl to reinforce its commitment to building a more inclusive and equitable sporting landscape.

The Her Sport Awards align with Her Sport’s mission to increase participation, attendance, and recognition for Irish sportswomen. Recent survey results of the Her Sport community found:
● 60% believe Her Sport has positively impacted their participation in sport.
● 99% believe Her Sport is making a positive impact for girls and women in sport.
Founded in Ireland, Her Sport is the country’s largest platform dedicated to women’s sport and one of the biggest in Europe. By breaking barriers and amplifying voices, Her Sport is driving a more equitable future for women in sport, at all levels.
A Celebration of Excellence
The event will be hosted at UCD Astra Hall and guests should expect live entertainment, exclusive athlete interviews, and inspiring storytelling. Highlights will be broadcast on TG4, ensuring fans across the country can join in celebrating the achievements of Ireland’s exceptional sportswomen.
