Irish Yogurts Clonakilty, a family run, Irish business producing a variety of delicious, award winning live yogurts, crème fraîche and kefir, are delighted to mark 30 years in business this year. Established on the 1st March 1994 by Diarmuid O’Sullivan with the support of his wife Mary, Irish Yogurts Clonakilty has gone from strength to strength and is now available in supermarkets all across Ireland and the UK.
Following some market research with Teagasc, Diarmuid spotted a clear gap in the market for Irish produced yogurts. Using local farm fresh Irish milk, live yogurt cultures and real fruit and containing no artificial colours or flavours, Diarmuid created the range to give customers a delicious, premium taste. Quality and taste are of paramount importance to the brand. This is highlighted through the various awards and achievements that Irish Yogurts Clonakilty has gained over the 30 years it has been in business including receiving numerous Great Taste Awards, Blas na hÉireann Awards and a Golden Fork Nomination to name but a few. Diarmuid and his team are also very passionate about sustainability in everything that they do.
Irish Yogurts Clonakilty is a member of Origin Green, Ireland’s food and drink sustainability programme, and the company believes in producing the best quality, great tasting products using milk from only Bord Bia approved Irish farms.
Speaking about reaching the 30 year in business milestone, Diarmuid O’Sullivan, Managing Director of Irish Yogurts Clonakilty, commented, “Mary and I are absolutely thrilled to reach this great milestone which would not have been possible without the support of our loyal customers, our team of 225 dedicate staff members and our many Irish and UK retailers.
