Daybreak Commits to ’30 for 30’ in September in Aid of the Irish Heart Foundation

Posted on: 02 Sep 2024

Daybreak and long-term charity partner, the Irish Heart Foundation have teamed up once again for their annual active challenge! The ’30 for 30’ campaign challenges Daybreak retailers and staff to commit to doing 30 minutes of daily exercise for the 30 days of September.  Daybreakers are free to walk, run, swim or dance – there are no limitations on the form of exercise!  The goal of the challenge is for Daybreakers to get out and get active to improve their fitness and heart health – all while raising funds for an amazing cause!

Over 160 Daybreak stores nationwide are taking part in the challenge over the month of September. Participants will commit to completing 30 consecutive days of daily exercise, asking customers, family, and friends to sponsor them to achieve the fundraising target.

Molly Byrne, Assistant Brand Manager, Daybreak commented:

“We are thrilled to continue our support for the Irish Heart Foundation through our annual active challenge, an event we eagerly anticipate each year! When designing this challenge, our priority was to create an inclusive campaign that Daybreakers of all fitness levels could participate in. The challenge is all about celebrating movement, emphasising participation over perfection, and allowing participants to engage at their own pace. Our goal with this initiative is to show that focusing on your health doesn’t have to be overwhelming; dedicating just 30 minutes a day to exercise can significantly improve heart health.

Community is central to Daybreak, and we take great pride in supporting the Irish Heart Foundation and their remarkable mission to prevent death and disability caused by heart disease and stroke.”

“We are extremely thankful for the continued support and commitment from Daybreak. Our vision is a future where no hearts are broken by preventable heart disease and stroke and the generosity of Daybreak, and their customers can help us achieve this! We are so excited to kick off this year’s campaign and get active this September!”
